The timber quality has not changed - situated in the midst of deep East Texas forests we have access to high quality logs to mill. In addition to oak we regularly cut Southern Yellow Pine, various species of hardwood, Bois D’Arc - Osage Orange, Hickory, Walnut, Pecan and Eastern Aromatic Cedar. Oak is rugged, strong and has good load bearing elasticity properties. Trailer decking has good airflow as it is suspended above ground along with rot resistant characteristics in the wood that make this a choice wood for trailers. Oak has been found to gratifying in many applications for outdoor use enduring the elements. Oak lumber retains its strength even as it ages.

For many applications oak lasts longer than pressure treated pine. Also much pine these days is grown in fast growing plantations which makes for wide growth rigs but little shear strength. Oak comes in as an affordable alternative to jungle wood as Apitong, Teak or Purple Heart wood which are good woods, but often cost significantly more!

We cut high quality durable oak wood decking for semi trailers, low boy heavy equipment hauling trailers, out rigger boards, livestock haulers, utility trailers, dump truck sideboards, friction boards for metal trailer decks.

We cut lumber 8 foot to trailer length decking up to 32 feet long. We can cut 1” 1 1/8”, 1 1/4” 1 1/2” on up to 3” or greater thicknesses and as narrow or wide as you need. We can cut custom orders to meet your specifications and quantity.

We have skilled trailer deck installers which will get you a solid trailer surface in good condition ready to haul your cargo. We provide the services of stripping off the old decking, screwing on the new and can give it a coat of oil upon request.

••• Oak Molding and Trim. Crown, cove, quarter round and baseboard trim are our most popular profiles. Planned 1x2, 1x3 and 1x4 make good simple trim. We also can supply wood for widow sill, trim, and shutters.

••• Stair treads, risers, stair stringers, support framing and railing. We cut solid treads as thin an 1” and as thick as 4” or more. Custom widths available. Our solid stair treads are great with modular stairs, spiral staircases and floating stairs. Rustic half log treads and log risers are also available.
